'Versace on the Floor' cover goes viral online

Netizens had feasted over a video of a man singing Versace on the Floor after it was shared by the Facebook page of Filipino Vines last Friday, February 17. The person behind the viral video is Eduard Paul L. Mapula, 21 years old from Davao City. He had uploaded a video of himself singing on his personal Facebook account. The video then caught the attention of the page Filipino Vines along with thousands of netizens. (Screen grab of netizen’s comments below) Netizens exclaimed over the fact that Mapula's singing voice resembled the voice of Bruno Mars, the original singer of the song he was performing in his video. As of now, the video reached 1.7 million of views, 86,723 likes and 21,259 shares in Facebook. According to Mapula, he was already into singing at the age of 8. He was delighted that people are claiming that his singing voice bear resemblance to Bruno Mars', who happens to be one of his idol in the singing industry. “Syempre, overwhelmed.”, Mapula said when asked what he felt about his sudden fame. He posted online his appreciation to Filipino Vines and Tee Radio, the two Facebook pages which shared his video. He also thanked all the netizens who had expressed their support over his video.
